Quadball is Coming
Make sure you witness one of the most exciting new sports in America! This August, the 12 best teams in North American quadball descend upon the MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex in Des Moines, Iowa for the 2023 Major League Quadball Championship. Catch every dunk, dodge, and tackle as teams battle their way towards a best-of-three finals for their chance at glory and the Benepe Cup!
About Major League Quadball
Quadball is a full-contact, mixed-gender sport played by athletes around the world. MLQ is propelling quadball to new heights of entertainment through an action-packed product, inclusive culture, and innovative concepts.
The 16 teams competing for a spot in the MLQ Championship hail from three divisions: East, North, and South.
East Division: Boston Forge, Charlotte Aviators, New York Titans, Ottawa Black Bears, Washington Admirals
North Division: Cleveland Riff, Detroit Innovators, Chicago Prowl, Minneapolis Monarchs, Rochester Whiteout, Toronto Raiders
South Division: Austin Outlaws, Kansas City Stampede, League City Legends, New Orleans Curse, San Antonio Soldados

We offer Weekend Passes, Single-Day Passes, Children’s Passes, Senior (65+) Passes, and the Ultimate Fan Package. Tickets will also be for sale on-site at the event.

Gameplay Schedule
The gameplay schedule for our three MLQ Championship competitions will be released in August.
- Saturday and Sunday - Benepe Cup: Witness the top 12 teams in MLQ duke it out for the main title.
- Sunday - MLQ Next Gen Showcase: Get a sneak peek at the next generation of MLQ talent during our new MLQ Next Gen Showcase featuring MLQ's practice squad athletes from across the league.
- Monday - Take Back the Pitch: Take Back the Pitch is a showcase that challenges the current understanding of gender in quadball and opens opportunities for gender diverse athletes to play quadball out from under the scrutiny of misogyny, transmisogyny, and misdirected misogyny. Through The Gender Diversity Initiative, MLQ seeks to address the very real ramifications of sexism and transphobia for cis and trans women, non-binary folk, and trans men. Through the open-access Take Back the Pitch tournament, MLQ aims to highlight and lift up athletes that are overlooked by their teams and in the community on account of sex and gender, and give them the leadership opportunities, playing time and diverse skill training they deserve all the time. Registration is open to any quadball player who is not a cis male. All skill levels welcome.

Attending MLQ Championship but you’d rather volunteer, referee or snitch than spectate? Check out our volunteer openings. If you have additional questions, email [email protected]. Volunteers that commit at least ten (10) hours of their time over the course of the weekend will get free admission to the event.
